Who is Jhonny Mentero?
Juan Solis started working like street circus artist in 2008 in the city of Granada, Spain. In 2010 he founded his own company “Cía. Jhonny Mentero ”and become international artist traveling around Europe. Since 2016 is also part of the collective “Estreyarte” in Spain, and since 2022 he performes for Theater Pikante in the show «Pinguine!» in Germany.
In 2012 he studied in the International School of Circus and Theatre of Granada
(CAU Centro de Artes Urbanas)
Also he have studied at the Clown School “Los Estupendos Estupidos” (Granada)
In 2018 he start studing “El Arte del Payaso” (The Art Of Clowning) whit Fanny Giraud and Christoph Tellier in Barcelona.

Jhonny Mentero is an expert tighrope player and street clown. In this show he plays his best to create a familiar and groundbreaking performance full of fun and ilusion for the whole family.
The show starts with a few balance tricks and funny jokes in order to create a special conection with the audience.
After this introduction, jhonny will take a young volunteer from the adience and make a true circus star from him or her, creating the whole ambience of a traditional circus, always with the help of the audience.
Once the volunteer has become also an incredible and unespected artist, he will help jhonny to present and realize the last part of the show, where this quirky artist will show up his experience and dedication in a astonishing and beautifull tighrope act.

Juampar is a guy with a big ambition, to be a great artist famous all over the world.
But life is not exactly making it easy for him.
He spends long periods of time imagining what it would be like to be a great dancer, to go out into a circus ring, or onto the stage of a great theater, to feel the applause of the audience and the light of the spotlights.
His innocence knows no bounds and neither does his determination to be a great artist.
